Essential Tech Checklist (So You Don’t Throw Your Laptop Out the Window)

Glasses, a notebook, and a pink laptop rest on a fluffy surface, alongside a coffee cup and pink accessories, creating a cozy vibe.

Let’s be honest: no one starts a business because they want to deal with browser extensions, DNS settings, or a bazillion logins.

But if tech stuff has ever made you want to cry into your coffee (or wine), I’ve got you.

This isn’t one of those tech tutorials that assumes you were coding websites in 1998.This is tech wisdom for women who have BIG dreams and don’t want tech to hold them back anymore.

Here’s a simple, confidence-boosting checklist to make sure your tech is working for you — not against you:

✅ 1. A Branded Domain Name

Your business deserves more than “mybiz72.randomplatform.com.”💡 Tip: Use Namecheap or Google Domains for simple, affordable domain registration.

✅ 2. Professional Email Address

You don’t need Gmail’s “fun” filters. You need you@yourbusiness.com — even if it just forwards to your inbox.

💡 Tip: Google Workspace or Zoho Mail are great options.

✅ 3. Website or Landing Page

No, you don’t need 17 pages and a custom-coded site.Start with a simple, clear landing page that says who you are, what you offer, and how people can get in touch or buy.

💡 Tip: Wix, HighLevel, or Canva Sites make this easy.

✅ 4. Email Marketing Platform

You don’t own your followers. But you DO own your email list.Set up your lead magnet, welcome sequence, and email signup form.

💡 Tip: MailerLite, Flodesk, or ConvertKit are great for beginners.

✅ 5. Online Payment Option

Want people to pay you? Make it easy.Set up a checkout system with Stripe, PayPal, or HighLevel Payments.

💡 Bonus Tip: Add an order bump or upsell later (we’ll get to that in another post 😉).

✅ 6. Calendar + Booking Tool

Back-and-forth scheduling? Nope.Let clients or collaborators book time with you via a calendar link.

💡 Tip: Try Calendly, TidyCal, or Acuity.

✅ 7. Cloud File Storage

Keep all your files in one place you can access from anywhere.

💡 Tip: Google Drive, Dropbox, or iCloud are your best friends.

✅ 8. Graphic Design Tools

Because your brand deserves to look GOOD.Whether it’s a logo, IG story, or lead magnet — design matters.

💡 Tip: Canva Pro is worth it (and yes, I’ll teach you how to use it!).
